Historic Columbia’s Palladium tour coming to Forest Hills on April 6

March 25, 2025

Sixth annual tour of homes explores 100 years of history in this downtown neighborhood

Coming to Forest Hills on Sunday, April 6, 2025, A Century of Style is a self-guided, self-paced walking tour of homes presented by Historic Columbia. This year’s tour will feature five houses showcasing the architectural diversity and rich history of Forest Hills. The tour is from 1:00 – 4:00 p.m. and it will conclude with an after party in the neighborhood from 4:00 – 6:00 p.m., with food and beverages included.

Palladium, Historic Columbia’s group of diverse professionals who support the mission of the organization through educational, social, and fundraising initiatives, is excited to bring the sixth annual Palladium Tour to Forest Hills after its successful neighborhood-focused tours in both Melrose Heights and Wales Garden.

“Forest Hills is a lovely neighborhood, and it has been the home of many of Columbia’s elite residents over the past century” says Ari Robbins, Palladium board president. “We will be exploring five of the neighborhood’s architectural gems, including some of the oldest—and arguably some of the most historically significant—properties.”

The homes on the tour remain a secret until the event. Historic Columbia’s Director of Education and Interpretation Katharine Allen believes attendees will find the selected sites captivating. “The Forest Hills Neighborhood Association partnered with Historic Columbia for this year’s Palladium Tour as a part of the neighborhood’s centennial celebration. Upon hearing of this opportunity, many homeowners were excited to open their doors to Historic Columbia and share stories about their homes. Attendees will get to explore the properties, with home histories and historic images available for each site.”

Tickets can be purchased at www.historiccolumbia.org/palladiumtour. Advance ticket prices are $35 for Palladium members, $40 for Historic Columbia members and $50 for non-members, through April 4. Day-of tickets are $50 and may be purchased 12:00 – 2:00 p.m. at the southeast corner of Canterbury Road and Westminster Drive in Forest Hills.
