Home Builders Association of SC names Michael Nieri, President, Great Southern Homes as Builder Member of the Year

On October 21, 2016 at the annual Home Builders Association of South Carolina’s (“HBASC”) Celebration of Excellence, the state’s home building association named Michael Nieri, President of Great Southern Homes, the Thomas N. Bagnal Builder Member of the Year, one of the most prestigious HBASC awards.
The award is given to individuals who demonstrate the same qualities as the awards namesake, Thomas N. Bagnal which include tireless service to community, the Home Builders Association (“HBA”) and the home building industry.
As Builder Member of the Year, Michael was recognized for his tremendous dedication to the home building industry and the HBA. He has been a member of the Building Industry Association (“BIA”) of Central SC for more than 15 years and is recognized as one of its most active members.
Michael has been building quality homes since 1993 and has successfully applied his leadership skills to the trade since he first joined. He has served on the Boards of both the BIA of Central SC and the HBASC and has served as President of the Building Industry Charitable Foundation. According to many of his peers, Michael is a highly-regarded home builder and outstanding, respected member of the community. Earl McLeod, Executive Director of the BIA of Central SC calls him, “An asset to the entire industry and his community. Michael exemplifies the title ‘Thomas N. Bagnal Builder Member of the Year’ for his efforts as a builder, member of our association, community volunteer and friend.”
