Home Works of America welcomes three new board members in 2021

Home Works of America is pleased to announce the addition of three new members to its Board of Directors:

-Russell Austin, Financial Advisor | Edward Jones – Spartanburg
-Gabrielle Rhinehart M.D, Prisma Health – Columbia
-Randall Sandin – Realtor | Carolina One Real Estate – Charleston

“I am so very thankful for our Board and its efforts to serve homeowners in need throughout all of South Carolina,” said Joe Huggins, Executive Director. “The expertise of these new additions to our Board will be so valuable as we continue to address substandard housing and improve community health through home repairs. Home Works is blessed to add these three talented Gospel minded leaders. They will help us with strategic growth so that Home Works can help even more senior neighbors age in place safely with grace and dignity.”

These three professionals will join fellow Board Members Jennifer Bailey, Marty Brown, Preston Busbee, Stephen Clyburn, Mike Couick, Johnston Cox, Jennifer Douglass, Chris Horn, Marcus Tomlinson, Allen Wilkerson, and Gerry Williams.

Board Chair Marty Brown shared that he is “Very excited to begin serving with these outstanding friends of Home Works. They see the value in our mission and the huge return on investment of not only home repair, but the eternal impact of ministry to our neighbors.”

Home Works is headquartered in Columbia and serves across South Carolina, providing free home repairs to qualified low income elderly, disabled and veteran homeowners. These crucial home modifications are provided thanks to the time and energy of thousands of student and adult volunteers each year.
