The Honor Project’s third annual WildMayhem charity golf tournament and music concert rescheduled – November 8

October 4, 2017

The Honor Project’s third annual WildMayhem charity golf tournament has been rescheduled for Wednesday, November 8 at Cobblestone Park Golf Club in Blythewood, South Carolina.

Proceeds will equally benefit designated charities of local first responders, including the South Carolina EMS Memorial Bike Ride, Columbia Police Foundation and Columbia Fire Families Association. The tournament’s original September 11 date was postponed due to the impact and hazardous weather of Hurricane Irma.

“Safety is our number one priority of our players, sponsors, volunteers and everyone associated with WildMayhem,” said Parris Claytor, Executive Director of The Honor Project. “After closely monitoring and assessing the storm’s potential path and impact, we concluded that it was the best decision for us to reschedule the tournament for a later date.”

The tournament will be a four-person captain’s choice format. Registration begins at 8:00 a.m., followed by a shotgun start at 9:30 a.m. Entrant fees are $200 per player or $700 per team, and include cart fees; lunch; games; entertainment by long drive professionals, Jeff Crittenden and Bradley Trogdon; hole-in-one opportunities; giveaways and more.

Following the tournament will be a live and silent auction, raffle and award’s ceremony. Awards will be presented to the winning foursome, losing foursome, closest to the pin, longest drive and straightest drive.

For the first-time, the tournament will be paired with a WildMayhem music concert taking place Wednesday, November 8 at Music Farm Columbia, located at 1022 Senate Street. Behind the Sun, a Red Hot Chili Peppers Tribute, and Grassroots, a 311 Tribute, will be playing the tunes for charity. Doors open at 7:00 p.m. and the show starts at 8:00 p.m. The concert is 18+ and open to the public. Tickets can be purchased Tuesday – Thursday between 2:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. at the Music Farm’s box office, at the door the evening of the event or online at https://www.ticketfly.com/purchase/event/1567224?utm_medium=bks.

“We are anxiously anticipating the third annual WildMayhem charity golf tournament,” said Parris Claytor. “I have no doubt that this year’s event will be the best one yet, especially with the addition of the first-ever WildMayhem Music Concert. We are so lucky to have the support from our families, friends, colleagues, clients and community. Without them, none of this would be possible!”

The Honor Project welcomes all businesses and organizations to participate and sponsor the event.
