Hood Construction announces new hire and teammate promotion
July 9, 2025Hood Construction announced two key leadership updates. Jim Ott has joined the team as Senior Project Manager, and Brandon Hein has been promoted to Project Manager, reinforcing the company’s commitment to excellence and internal development.
“Joining Hood has felt like a natural fit from day one. It’s rare to find a company that not only values integrity, collaboration but also makes you feel like part of a family. I’m excited to be part of a team that takes pride in its work and invests in the people behind it. I look forward to contributing to projects that truly make a difference in our communities,” Ott said.
Jim attended Grantham University and served in the United States Army Reserves as an EA Master Sergeant. He is also an active Board Member for the Big Red Barn Retreat Construction Committee here in the Midlands.
In 2016, Brandon Hein joined Hood Construction as an intern while studying Construction Management at Western Carolina University. After graduating from the university in 2018, Brandon joined the company full-time as a Field Engineer, which later led him to become Superintendent, and most recently, Assistant Project Manager. Throughout Brandon’s time at Hood Construction, he has become an instrumental member in the company’s growth in the healthcare sector. He has worked alongside Vice President of Operations, Jeremy Rowe, for several of our healthcare projects including projects for, MUSC Health, Prisma Health, Lexington Medical Center, and several other clients throughout the state. In his role as Project Manager, he will continue to broaden his project experience throughout the state, as well as ensuring all goals and expectations are met on each jobsite.
“Brandon has been an asset to our team since he started with us as an intern. I look forward to watching him expand his experience and client relationships in his new role,” said Jeremy Rowe.
