Hood Construction welcomes new Project Managers

December 17, 2024

Hood Construction is eager to welcome two new additions to our Project Management team: Chris Sinclair & Matt Wolfe. Chris Sinclair has taken the position of Project Manager with Matt Wolfe as Assistant Project Manager.

Chris Sinclair joins Hood with over 22 years of experience working on CM-R projects throughout the state. Chris is certified as both a LEED Accredited Professional (LEED AP +BD C) and as a Project Management Professional (PMP). In his most recent role, Chris served as Project Manager for a local contractor, furthering his experience with K-12, municipal, hospitality/restaurant, automotive, and historic projects.

“What attracted me the most to Hood Construction was the culture and their reputation with clients, designers, subcontractors, and the community,” said Sinclair.

As Project Manager at Hood, Chris will work closely with our on-site Supervisory staff and Pre-Construction team members to ensure all project goals and expectations are met on each jobsite. With a strong background in K-12 facility construction, Chris’s experience pairs nicely with Hood’s portfolio, serving school districts statewide.

“Hood has fully supported my work/life balance being the father of two young daughters and everyone has welcomed us all with open arms.  We truly have a family culture here and it was very evident from the beginning in how everyone interacts, works together, and supports one another.  Our core values aligned with respect to how we approach our clients, colleagues, and family and it was a natural fit.  I look forward to everything the future holds for my family and I at Hood,” said Sinclair.

A Midlands native, Chris graduated from the University of South Carolina with his BS in Business Administration. He now resides in Columbia with his family.

Matt Wolfe has recently joined our team as an Assistant Project Manager, bringing with him 11 years of experience in the industry. Prior to Hood, Matt held titles as both Field Engineer and Assistant Project Manager for a number of projects including several apartment communities, retail stores, K-12 schools, and multi-family home buildings.

In his role as Assistant Project Manager, he works with other key team members and Project Management staff throughout the pre-construction and construction process, ensuring budgetary and scheduling goals are met or exceeded on each project. Matt has already hit the ground running at Hood as he is currently serving as Assistant Project Manager on a higher education project.

Matt graduated from Thomas Jefferson University (previously Philadelphia University) with his MS in Construction Management and received his BS in Architecture and Planning from The Catholic University of America. Matt now resides in Aiken, SC with his wife and three children.
