Hospitality Kick-Start Program graduates largest class to date

On August 16 Palmetto Goodwill graduated its largest Hospitality Kick-Start class to date, with 11 students graduating the course and receiving a START professional certification. Graduates of the course included Ashley Green, Latoya Jackson, Tiffany Williams, Tristian Smiley, Lashawn Mack, Celeste Gadsden, Lesliey McDonald, Tara Conyers, Antoinette Rowell, Eldora Huff and Bethany Rizzuto.
Done in collaboration with the Charleston Area Hospitality Association and the Greater Charleston Restaurant Association, this free two-week program gives students the competitive edge they need to find employment in the hospitality industry. In addition to receiving a START certification in one of five line-level positions, participants receive hands-on hospitality training at a partner location and go through Palmetto Goodwill’s soft skills course. Interviews with potential hospitality employers are arranged for participants immediately upon completing the course.
