How to Get a Handle on Your Future Life Endeavors

March 6, 2019

When it comes to planning your future, there are a number of questions to consider. What do I want to do? Where do I want to go? How do I get there? Richland Library wants to alleviate some of the pressure in the decision-making process.

As part of the library’s mission, our staff are connecting you with information and resources to help make an informed decision, especially when it comes to pursuing a higher education or selecting a career path.

Please join us for the following, free programs at our Main location (1431 Assembly Street):

  • Choosing the College that’s Right for You is set for 6 – 7:30 p.m., Tuesday, March 12. Geared toward teens and their parents, the program features Dr. Jim Overton from College Consultants of South Carolina. He plans to detail the college search and discuss finding that perfect match.
  • Callings: In Search of an Authentic Life with Author Gregg Levoy is taking place 6 – 8 p.m., Thursday, March 21. Geared toward adults, ages 18 and up, the program spotlights how to listen and respond to your callings. Levoy says these callings could be guides to make a creative leap toward a different role or career path, to launch a new venture, to let go of an old one, or to simply make a course-correction in your life or at work. A book signing is scheduled to follow the program. Register online.
