Hoyt Hanvey Jewelers to Reopen in Temporary Location After Devastating Fire
October 21, 2024Hoyt Hanvey Jewelers, a fixture in downtown Clinton, is set to reopen soon after the devastating fire that destroyed their store in August. The iconic jeweler, known for its decades of service and commitment to the community, will be opening its doors in a temporary location at 202 Musgrove Street, just a few doors down from the original site.
While the fire caused extensive damage, Hoyt Hanvey Jewelers is ready to bounce back with all-new gift shop inventory. Per the company’s insurance agreement, there will be no “fire sale,” but instead, all gift items available in the new store will be freshly ordered from manufacturers. The timing of the fire was such that fine jewelry had already been removed from the cases and stored in the safe.
“We have been hard at work ordering new gift items,” the Hanvey family shared in a recent announcement. “We’re excited to welcome back our customers and provide the quality products and service you’ve come to expect from us.”
The owners expressed their gratitude to Chip Cooper for allowing them to use the building as a temporary store. “A huge thank you to Chip Cooper for making this possible. We couldn’t have done this without the support of our community,” they added.
Although an exact opening date has yet to be announced, Hoyt Hanvey Jewelers hopes to welcome customers as early as later this week.
“We have missed all of our customers and cannot wait to see you all again soon!” they said.
They hope to open as early as this Saturday (October 26th) and will have some specials going on so check updates on the official opening date by following Hoyt Hanvey Jewelers on Facebook. The Clinton community is excited to see this them back in action.
