Immedion Reinforces Commitment to Availability and Security with SOC 2 Type II Compliance

GREENVILLE, SC – Immedion LLC, South Carolina and Western North Carolina’s premiere provider of data center services including Cloud, colocation and managed services, announced today the successful completion of their SOC 2 Type II audit under the guidelines set forth by the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA). The SOC 2 Type II report applies to their facilities in Charleston, Columbia, and Greenville, South Carolina, as well as Asheville, North Carolina.

Immedion obtained SOC 2 Type II compliancy based on the Trust Services Principles and Criteria (TSP) for Security and Availability as published in TSP Section 100. According to the AICPA, adherence to these TSPs validates a service provider’s system is protected, both logically and physically, against unauthorized access and that the system, and the system is available for operation and use as committed or agreed to. The audit process for SOC 2 Type II compliance requires extensive evaluation and testing of company controls and must be performed by an independent third party. As such, successful completion is often recognized as an acceptable means of guaranteeing a service organization’s internal Security and Availability controls. By attaining this compliance, Immedion has proven to stand by strict internal business practices, security, and IT controls to help safeguard data and maximize infrastructure uptime.
