Immersive Orchestra Experience of Children of Eden Coming to Mauldin Cultural Center — Next Week Only
February 4, 2026Audiences will have a special opportunity next week to experience a powerful and unique theatrical event as Children of Eden takes the stage in an immersive orchestra presentation for a limited four-day run.
Produced as a stage reading, this one-of-a-kind performance blends storytelling, music, and visual artistry. The production features state-of-the-art lighting, a 13-piece live orchestra, and a 30-member cast working together to bring the sweeping story to life in an intimate yet dynamic format — all happening February 12–15 only.
Children of Eden explores the timeless stories of Adam and Eve, Noah, and the Father who created them. At its heart, the musical focuses on the relationships between parents and children, highlighting the emotional challenges that come with love, growth, and independence. As each generation struggles with choices that lead to both heartbreak and hope, the story delivers a moving message about faith, forgiveness, and the bittersweet truth that sometimes “the hardest part of love… is letting go.”
The musical comes from the creative team of Stephen Schwartz — known for hits like Wicked and The Prince of Egypt— and John Caird. Their collaboration results in a soaring score and heartfelt storytelling that resonates across generations.
Performances are scheduled for 7:30 pm Thursday through Saturday, with a 3:00 pm Sunday matinee.
Ticket prices are $25 for general admission and $20 for seniors, students, and military. With performances happening next week only, early ticket purchases online are encouraged and can be accessed here.
This limited engagement promises to be an unforgettable theatrical experience for Upstate audiences — one that won’t be around for long.
