Inaugural Angel Investor Conference in Charleston

CHARLESTON, SC – The inaugural Charleston Angel Conference will bring accredited investors and emerging companies together in a two-day business conference, held on October 19 and November 5, 2016. The final registration date for investors and companies is October 1.
The Charleston Angel Conference will service two different business segments: investors and emerging companies. Through the two-day event, accredited investors will create an entity, engage in due diligence of the applying emerging companies, and ultimately an investment of $100,000 will be made into one of the presenting finalists. The conference is the optimal way for interested or active angel investors to gain exposure to the process of angel investing and interact with several companies looking for investment.
The conference also provides a platform for emerging companies to pitch their businesses to the investors in attendance. The October session serves as a screening day in which 30 selected companies will have five minutes to pitch their businesses. The top five companies selected from the session will move on to compete for the $100,000 investment during the November session.
For accredited investors looking to join in the two-day conference, an investment of $1,500 is required. For emerging companies seeking investment, there is a registration fee of $250.
Those in the community who are not part of the conference, but interested in hearing the investment pitches from finalists, can attend the Pitch Day Session on November 5. Entry is $15 and it will be held at the Charleston Museum, located at 360 Meeting Street, from 1:30 to 5 p.m.
