Indie Grits Labs Education Fundraiser – Dec. 4

November 21, 2017

Columbia Film Society’s Indie Grits Labs will host the Second Annual Indie Grits Labs Education Fundraiser at The War Mouth (1209 Franklin St.), on Monday, Dec. 4, 2017.

Funds raised through the event will go towards supporting Indie Grits Labs and The Helen Hill Media Education Center, which offers media literacy labs, after-school programs, adult workshops, and film camps for local students led by education instructors and artists from the community.

“I am looking forward to the second edition of our education fundraiser. In these first few months of this fiscal year, we have already reached over 700 students, which is more than the total number last year. It is encouraging to see the significant impact Indie Grits Labs is making in Columbia and it wouldn’t be possible without the support of our donors.” says Indie Grits Labs Director, Seth Gadsden.

Guests will enjoy live jazz, complimentary wine, beer, and food as well as a silent auction.

The evening is scheduled as follows:

  • 6 p.m. – Cocktail hour
  • 7:15 p.m. – Presentation by Indie Grits Labs staff
  • 8 p.m. – Silent auction closes
  • 8:15 p.m.  – Auction winners announced

Tickets for the Indie Grits Labs Education Fundraiser are $40, available here. Space is limited.
