Interim Healthcare of the Upstate announces employee assistance fund
July 1, 2018Interim HealthCare of the Upstate, a locally owned and operated home health and hospice services provider, is pleased to announce the formation of the Ray Schroeder Employee Assistance Fund. Named in honor of the company’s founder, Ray Schroeder, the new Employee Assistance Fund was created as a way for Interim to help its employees who have fallen on hard times. The fund was unveiled at a recent employee event at the company’s Greenville’s headquarters location.
Ray Schroeder, who remains active as a consultant to Interim of the Upstate, stated: “We’re a family here at Interim, and we wanted to create something that would allow us to support our employees and help them stand tall in the face of unexpected emergencies. This fund will allow us to help them in times of personal loss such as fires, natural disasters or the sudden death of a family member – or if one of our colleagues becomes the victim of a crime.
History of Making a Difference in People’s Lives
Ray Schroeder decided to leave his law career to start Interim HealthCare of the Upstate 39 years ago. He wanted to give back to the community and start a business that would make a profound difference in the lives of people.
In 1996, Schroeder decided to expand Interim to include hospice care after his mother, Grace, received extraordinary medical and spiritual care from a hospice facility in Florida. He wanted to honor his mother’s life by providing a service designed to help others live life to the fullest.
