Interim Healthcare of the Upstate announces new hires

Interim HealthCare of the Upstate, a locally owned and operated home health and hospice services provider, is excited to announce four new therapists who have joined the Interim HealthCare family.

Chris Garrett, Tracy Martin, Katie Gernat and Odette Ray
- Chris Garrett is a physical therapist assistant (PTA). As a PTA, Chris works with patients to improve mobility and safety in the home as well as decreasing risk of falls by addressing balance.
- Tracy Martin is a certified occupational therapist assistant (COTA). As a COTA, Tracy helps patients improve their independence in daily activities such as bathing, dressing and preparing meals.
- Katie Gernat is a speech-language pathologist (SLP). As an SLP, Katie addresses patients’ deficits in cognition, swallowing and communications, as well as guiding patients and their family caregivers on appropriate diet and meal preparation.
- Odette Ray is a physical therapist in addition to being Interim’s new clinical manager. As Interim’s PT clinical manager, Odette oversees and supervises a team of clinicians consisting of nurses and therapists who are providing daily home health care to Interim’s patients in 6 Upstate counties.
