Internationally recognized actor, Udo Kier at Myrtle Beach International Film Festival
April 11, 2016Legendary & Internationally recognized actor, Udo Kier, will have his film, “Courier-X”, making its U.S. Premiere at the Myrtle Beach International Film Festival on Friday, August 22nd at 8:00PM at Carmike Cinema Broadway 17, 1175 Celebrity Circle, Myrtle Beach SC 29577.
The film had its World Premiere in London followed by its North American Premiere at the 21st Palm Beach International Film Festival.
Udo Kier has been seen in more than 226 films, over his 30-year career, and has worked with everyone from Andy Warhol, Dario Argento, Werner Herzog, Gus Van Sant and his frequent collaborator Lars Von Trier.
Kier, who is known for taking on both sinister & edgy characters, embarks upon a serious role, in a film which will surely be one of the most controversial political films ever made about the CIA and the events of Flight TWA 800.
The events based drama, written by Karl Wachsmann, showcases the affairs of a surreptitious smuggler (Bron Boier), working for a former member of the German Stasi (Udo Kier), who gets solicited by the CIA (James C. Burns) for deleterious involvement of the well-known mid-air explosion of Flight TWA 800, killing all 230 passengers, and to help cover-up the little known Nicaraguan blackmail attempt on the CIA, after the release of “Dark Alliance”, by Pulitzer Prize winning journalist, Gary Webb.
James C. Burns (“Call of Duty”: Black Ops, “Transformers”, “Coldwater”) plays a key role as a CIA Field Manager and is joined by an unknown but extremely talented cast including Lee Shepherd, Iva Stelmak, Al Sapienza, Ralph Guzzo and Gary Francis Hope.
