IRS Small Business Tax Workshop to Be Offered at Tri-County Technical College’s Anderson Campus

ANDERSON, SC – May 12, 2011 – An IRS Small Business Tax Workshop willbe offered at the Tri-County Technical College Anderson Campus Thursday, May 12, from 9 a.m. – 4 p.m.
According to Nivia Hayes, IRS representative, this workshop is designedfor the small business owner, manager, or the self-employed. Topics will include business use of home, independent contractors vs. employees,employment taxes, tax forms and electronic filing methods.
In addition, information on record keeping, types of business entities,Schedule C & SE and employment taxes will be covered.
The employment tax segment provides an overview of Forms 941 and 940,including e-File, and EFTPS due dates. Both Federal and StateTax/Employment issues will be covered. The cost of the workshop is$25.
