July 6, 2018

Janssen Pharmaceuticals has made a charitable contribution to The Mental Illness Recovery Center, Inc. (MIRCI), in the amount $12,500 to assist their outreach and behavioral healthcare for homeless individuals with mental illness.

In 2017, MIRCI’s Homeless Outreach program helped 741 people in the Columbia Metro area, and is projected to help, at a minimum, 400 more in 2018. Funding from Janssen Pharmaceuticals will support behavioral healthcare to individuals who are uninsured or underinsured through their Assertive Community Treatment (ACT) team.

“We are grateful and thrilled beyond words that the efforts of our Homeless Outreach program are supported by Janssen Pharmaceuticals. We look forward to continuing our work and changing the lives of those we serve.” Said MIRCI’s Executive Director, Julie Ann Avin.
