Jason Tavenner Named Incoming Chair of Laurens County Chamber Board
July 12, 2025The Laurens County Chamber of Commerce is proud to announce the appointment of Jason Tavenner as the new Chair of the Board of Directors for the 2025-2026 term. Tavenner currently serves as the Executive Director of the Laurens County Disability and Special Needs Board, where he has dedicated his work to enhancing the quality of life for individuals with disabilities across the County.
Tavenner brings a wealth of leadership experience, a heart for service, and a passion for community growth. Under his leadership at the Disability and Special Needs Board, he has championed programs that promote independence, inclusion, and support for individuals and families. His forward-thinking approach and collaborative mindset align seamlessly with the Chamber’s mission to promote and strengthen Laurens County and foster a thriving business community.

As Chair, Tavenner will guide the Chamber’s strategic vision, support its advocacy efforts, and help connect businesses and organizations across Laurens County. He succeeds Sharon O’Bryant who served with distinction and helped navigate a year of continued progress, partnership, and change in leadership within the Chamber.
