JDPR welcomes three promising communication professionals to its Executive Management Assistance Program

August 6, 2025

JDPR’s combination internship/mentor program has successfully fostered growth in hundreds of college students and young professionals over three decades.

Industry-leading strategic marketing and communication agency JDPR proudly announces the addition of three new interns for its Summer 2025 Executive Management Assistance Program (EMAP): Brianna Hughey, Cassidy Gruber and Geovana Saraiva. For nearly 30 years, JDPR’s EMAP internship has paired college students and young professionals with senior agency leaders to grow and meaningfully contribute to JDPR’s diverse range of clients. Through real-life work and professional mentoring, this new cohort of interns will develop important skills and gain valuable experience in marketing, public relations and strategic communication.

“The bar gets higher each year as we receive more and more highly qualified applicants for our internship”, said agency director Drew Dezen. “I’m confident that the exceptional talents and fresh perspectives of our new summer interns will be a great addition for our clients. We are happy to have them join the team and are grateful for the opportunity to continue supporting young professionals with meaningful experiences that will help shape their future careers.”

Hughey earned her Bachelor of Arts in journalism and mass communications from the University of South Carolina, where she honed her public relations skills through her work at The Carolina Agency, the university’s student-run television station, Student Gamecock Television, and as a University and Presidential Ambassador. Hughey’s experience in sports media, strategic planning, public speaking and multimedia positions her well to support JDPR’s sports and lifestyle clients.

Gruber received her undergraduate degree from Clemson University, where she continues her studies in communication as part of Clemson’s master’s program. Having worked for organizations such as The Tiger and Lake Burton Civic Association, Gruber’s expertise lies mainly in social media management and content creation as well as press release development and copywriting. Additionally, as a member of the Public Relations Student Society of America (PRSSA), Gruber has been able to sharpen her public relations skills while supporting the efforts of a local nonprofit organization. As part of her EMAP internship, Cassidy supports JDPR’s lifestyle and technology clients.

Saraiva is an international student from Brazil with an extensive background in strategic communication, digital marketing and customer relationship management. Currently pursuing her master’s degree in communication at Clemson University, Saraiva has a history of effectively managing diverse clients with unique demands while consistently meeting deadlines and maintaining client satisfaction. Her experience working in different cultures and industries offers a fresh perspective for JDPR’s health and lifestyle clients.

College students or recent graduates in the fields of communication, marketing or related studies interested in applying for the EMAP program should send their resume and cover letter to Isabel Matos at [email protected] or apply at www.jdpr.com.
