Jennifer Gillespie named CatawbaTrail Elementary School Principal

At the board meeting on Tuesday, June 12, 2018, Superintendent Dr. Baron R. Davis recommended and the Richland School District Two Board of Trustees approved the promotion of Jennifer Gillespie to principal of Catawba Trail Elementary School, effective July 1.
Gillespie first joined the Richland Two family has a classroom teacher at Bethel-Hanberry Elementary School in 1995. She has since served as an instructional technology specialist and assistant principal at Killian and Rice Creek elementary schools. For the past seven years, she has been an assistant principal at Pontiac Elementary School.
She holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Education from the College of Charleston, a Master of Education degree from Lesley University with a major in Educational Technology and a Master of Education degree from the University of South Carolina with a major Educational Administration.
Gillespie is a member of the Association for Supervision and Curriculum Development, the National Association of Elementary School Principals and the South Carolina Association of School Administrators. Within the district, she has served on the Richland Two McKinney Vento Advisory Committee, the District Teacher of the Year Selection Committee and helped draft the Response to Intervention Team Handbook Team.
