Jerry Carter picks up key endorsements in District Three
September 24, 2020Jerry Carter has been endorsed by multiple state and Pickens area leaders this week as he seeks election in State House District Three, which encompasses western Pickens County including Clemson, Central, Norris and Six Mile.
Among those endorsements are Conservation Voters of South Carolina, a bipartisan organization that fights to make conservation and environmental issues a priority for South Carolina voters; Rick Clark, the sheriff of Pickens County; and Ensley Feemster, the District 1 Pickens County Council Member. Carter also was endorsed by Clemson Mayor J.C. Cook, III, Town of Central Mayor Clyde “Mac” Martin, Jr., and Town of Norris Mayor Odell Williams.
Carter won the GOP nomination for District Three in late June. His main priorities are modernizing the education system, ensuring ethical transparency from elected officials, improving roads and bridges, providing widespread clean drinking water (especially in areas in which pipelines have begun to crumble) and attracting jobs to ensure economic growth.
“I’m honored to have received these endorsements,” Carter said. “I’m fighting to do what’s best for the community of District Three, and am proud that so many prominent officials and organizations recognize and support that fight.”
