Jervey Eye Group welcomes Dr. Bridget Whaley, O.D.

Jervey Eye Group, PA, has recently hired Dr. Bridget Whaley, O.D., as a general care optometrist at its Halton Road location in Greenville. Dr. Whaley joins a talented lineup of comprehensive eye care and surgery providers to treat patients across the Upstate. She is currently accepting new patients.

Dr. Whaley joins the Jervey team as a key, comprehensive eye care professional, conducting early vision loss prevention and detection examinations as the organization expands within the Upstate. As an optometrist with Jervey, Dr. Whaley will provide care to new patients to identify vision problems and solutions, as well as fit patients who suffer from conditions like corneal dystrophies and irregular astigmatism with specialty contact lenses.
“I’m looking forward to developing new relationships with patients at Jervey and utilizing what I’ve learned in the field to provide exceptional care and vision solutions,” said Dr. Whaley.
Dr. Whaley most recently worked with Eyes on Eyes, LLC, in Charleston diagnosing, treating and co-managing a variety of ocular conditions in both children and adults. She conducted her primary care residency with the Ralph H. Johnson VA Medical Center, working closely with attending optometrists and ophthalmologists in treating complex ocular diseases in the veteran population. During her post graduate career, Dr. Whaley received training and certification from the Valley Contax Scleral Lens Workshop to fit patients in customized lenses.
Dr. Whaley received her medical degree from the Pennsylvania College of Optometry at Salus University. She attended the University of Scranton for her undergraduate education, majoring in biology. Dr. Whaley is also an active member of the American Optometric Association, Women in Optometry and College of Optometrists in Vision Development.
