Under the supervision of the Director of Landscape Services, or Senior staff, is responsible for the preparation, management, and beautification of the University Properties.

• Mow, trim, turf areas.
• Prune and trim trees and shrubs.
• Pick up and remove litter, leaves, and debris.
• Weed both mechanically and chemically.
• Plant, water, fertilize, flowers, trees, etc.
• Remove snow and ice from walks and roads.
• Assist in maintenance of grounds equipment, tools, etc.
• In all functions, material that is mowed/pruned/cut/etc., is recycled (mulched, composted, etc.).

Minimum Qualifications: High school diploma/or equivalent (GED) and 1 year related experience or equivalency. A valid driver’s license with good driving record. Successful background check is required. A negative pre-employment drug screen is required.

Preferred Qualifications: Desire 2 years of grounds maintenance or related work experience consisting of general knowledge of plants and landscaping.

Salary: $15.00 per hour

Work Schedule: Work hours are 40 hours a week from 6:30 a.m. – 3:30 p.m; Monday – Friday. May have to work extended hours or weekend hours to support University activities. On occasion will assist the Building Maintenance crew and with setups. Exact work hours may be modified/variable to fit the season of the year. This position is of temporary capacity and maintain employment as needed.
