Joe Adair Outdoor Education Center Prepares for Annual Team Ecology Event, Seeks Volunteers
January 28, 2025The Joe Adair Outdoor Education Center is preparing for its most anticipated week of the year—Team Ecology! Scheduled for April 7-11, 2025, this annual event brings all third graders in Laurens County together for an immersive environmental education experience.
Team Ecology includes nine interactive stations designed to teach students about conservation, sustainability, and environmentally friendly habits in a hands-on and engaging way. The event provides an opportunity for young learners to connect with nature and gain valuable knowledge about protecting the planet.
Volunteers are vital to the success of Team Ecology. Their support helps ensure the event runs smoothly and provides a meaningful experience for the students. The Joe Adair Center relies on community members to assist with guiding students through the stations, offering encouragement, and contributing to the overall success of the program.
Anyone interested in volunteering is encouraged to sign up using the Team Ecology Volunteer Sign-Up Form. Once the form is submitted, event organizers Tanya Towne or Renee Gibbs will follow up with additional details.
The event will take place at the Joe Adair Outdoor Education Center, located at 110 Scout Creek Court in Laurens. Whether you can dedicate one day or the entire week, your participation will make a significant impact on the education of Laurens County’s third graders and help inspire the next generation of environmental stewards.
