Joe Adair Outdoor Education Center Seeks Volunteers for Team Ecology Program
January 7, 2026The Joe Adair Outdoor Education Center is seeking community volunteers for its annual Team Ecology program, a hands-on outdoor learning experience that introduces Laurens County third graders to environmental science, conservation, and the natural world around them.
Team Ecology will take place March 30 through April 3, and volunteers play a critical role in making the program possible for students across the county. The multi-day event is designed to spark curiosity, encourage stewardship of natural resources, and foster a lifelong appreciation for the environment through interactive, age-appropriate lessons.
Through Team Ecology, students engage directly with nature while learning about ecosystems, wildlife, conservation practices, and environmental responsibility. The program blends outdoor exploration with STEM-based learning, giving students meaningful experiences beyond the traditional classroom.
Community members who enjoy working with children, supporting education, or spending time outdoors are encouraged to consider volunteering. No specialized background is required—just a willingness to help guide and encourage young learners as they explore and learn.
Volunteers help ensure that every third grader in Laurens County has the opportunity to participate in this impactful program, making Team Ecology a true community effort.
