Johnson to address Chamber members on sales challenges

April 27, 2015

GREENVILLE, SC – Local entrepreneur Tammy Johnson will discuss the successes and challenges of sales in the hospitality industry at an upcoming Greenville Chamber roundtable event.

With 60 percent of their business being wedding couples who are one-time customers, The Old Cigar Warehouse has unique challenges in creating long-term, sustainable sales and marketing plans. Yet, using a personal touch and a proven sales system, the Old Cigar Warehouse books more than 250 events per year with individual, corporate and nonprofit clients. Johnson will address the techniques used by her team to nurture their clients before, during and after their event has passed.

Johnson, a noted Greenville hospitality professional, is the owner of Liquid Catering, a special event bartending company, and Bravo1 Protection, a private security company, in addition to owning the Old Cigar Warehouse. She is highly involved in the Greenville business community, and among other accomplishments, she currently serves on the board for Euphoria, Greenville’s fine dining and music festival. Johnson is also a past chair of PULSE, the Greenville Chamber’s young professional organization, and is a graduate of Leadership Greenville Class 39. Most recently, she was selected as the 2014 S.C. Young Entrepreneur of the Year by the U.S. Small Business Administration.

The roundtable will be held on Wednesday, May 20, from 11:30 to 1:00 at the Greenville Chamber. For more information and to register, visit www.greenvillechamber.org/events.
