Judge Casey Manning to give keynote at Kids’ Chance of South Carolina Gala

Judge Casey Manning of S.C.’s Fifth Judicial Circuit will give the keynote address to members of the state’s legal and medical communities at the annual gala for Kids’ Chance of South Carolina on February 20, 2016. A statewide nonprofit organization that provides scholarships to the children of injured workers in S.C., Kids’ Chance of South Carolina will commemorate 23 years of giving at the “Denim and Diamonds Gala” on Saturday, February 20, 2016, from 6:00 p.m. to midnight at the Marriott in downtown Columbia, S.C. During a private cocktail hour, attendees will meet sports icon Cocky, then enjoy a silent auction as well as a seated, plated dinner with an open bar and an awards presentation featuring guest speaker Casey Manning, S.C. Fifth Judicial Circuit Judge. Guests will also enjoy top hits by the Summer Daze Band. Cocktail attire or guests’ favorite boots and denim ensembles are encouraged.

Founded in 1993 as a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization by the S.C. Worker’s Compensation Educational Association, Kids’ Chance of South Carolina, Inc. has awarded more than $900,000 in scholarships to the children of injured workers in S.C. Dependents of anyone injured while working in the state of South Carolina may apply for scholarships from the charity.

“This is our third year hosting this gala, and we’re excited to be celebrating our 23rd year of providing scholarships to the dependents of injured workers in our state,” says Angie Kohl, executive director of Kids’ Chance of South Carolina.

The silent auction is already open for online bidding and will close at 9 p.m. on the evening of the gala. Doors open at 6:00 p.m. with open bar in the atrium until 7 p.m., when a seated dinner and awards presentation will commence in the Carolina Ballroom.
