Junior League of Columbia to award Community Impact Grants

The Junior League of Columbia will open a Request for Proposals for Community Impact Grants on Jan. 12.

A total of $150,000 will be awarded to organizations in the Greater Midlands proposing transformational projects and initiatives of $25,000 or greater that align with the League’s mission and specifically address poverty and basic needs of children and families. The Junior League of Columbia, Inc. is an organization of women committed to promoting voluntarism, developing the potential of women, and improving communities through the effective action and leadership of trained volunteers. Its purpose is exclusively educational and charitable.

Information regarding the RFP will be made available on the JLC website. The deadline for submission is Feb. 16. Award recipients and grant amounts will be announced at the League’s year-end celebration May 10. The Junior League of Columbia supports projects directly benefiting the greater Midlands area by nonprofit organizations and agencies.
