Karen Wrighten Named Dean of TTC’s Berkeley Campus

CHARLESTON, SC – October 12, 2011 – Trident Technical College has named Karen Wrighten dean of its Berkeley Campus in Moncks Corner. Prior to this role, Wrighten served as assistant director of Berkeley Campus and has taught management and college skills courses at TTC since 2005. 

As dean, Wrighten is responsible for overall campus management including planning, developing and implementing a comprehensive programmatic agenda for Berkeley Campus in keeping with the college’s mission. She also will develop services and enhance relationships between college divisions to promote growth and development of Berkeley Campus.

Wrighten holds a Bachelor of Arts in political science and public administration from South Carolina State University and a Master of Arts degree in management from Webster University. Prior to joining TTC 11 years ago, she worked as the marketing and education coordinator for United Family Services in Charlotte, N.C.

 

TTC’s Berkeley Campus in Moncks Corner currently has approximately 1,000 students enrolled this fall and offers courses required for Associate in Arts and Associate in Science degrees, as well as program-specific courses for aircraft maintenance technology, avionics, veterinary technology, and cosmetology, esthetics and nail technology.
