Keep the Midlands Beautiful announces new Environmental Education Assistant and volunteer coordinator

Keep the Midlands Beautiful, Midlands, South Carolina, announced the addition of Beonka Ray as the Environmental Education Assistant and coordinator of volunteer programs.  Ms. Ray has volunteered with our organization in the past and has a passion for environmental preservation.  It is this passion that will help grow our organization and help us in our mission to beautify the Midlands.

“It has been wonderful to have Beonka join our team,” said Jacq Buck, Executive Director. “She has hit the ground running, and her past experience and knowledge of our programs have proven to be great assets. We are excited to see the volunteer programs grow under Beonka’s leadership.”

Beonka was born and raised in Sumter, South Carolina.  She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration with a focus on Management and Human Resources from Saint Leo University.  A majority of her work experience has been in customer service; most recently, she served as a regulatory specialist and the liaison between SCE&G; and the Public Service Commission of SC and The SC Office of Regulatory Staff.

Beonka currently resides in Lexington County with her husband, their three daughters, and 5 cats. In her free time, she likes to practice yoga and enjoys being outdoors hiking, rafting, or spending time with family and friends.
