Kennedy Mortuary to Host Informative Seminar Series: Pastries in the Parlor
June 2, 2024On June 26, from 8:30 AM to 9:30 AM, the Kennedy Mortuary will launch a new seminar series titled “Pastries in the Parlor,” designed to educate and empower the community. The series aims to address various topics throughout the year, offering valuable insights and practical advice.
The inaugural seminar, “Scams, Protect Yourself,” will focus on identifying and preventing scams that often target senior adults, widows, and widowers. Hunter Jones, President and CEO of the Better Business Bureau (BBB) of Upstate South Carolina, will lead the presentation. Attendees will learn to recognize warning signs of scams, report fraudulent activities, file complaints, and make informed buying decisions. Jones will also highlight resources provided by the BBB to help safeguard against scams.
Kennedy Mortuary invites the public to join this educational session while enjoying a light breakfast. The seminar is free of charge and open to everyone, but space is limited to 16 guests.
