Kickstands for Kids to Host Family Fun Day and Toy Drive in Gray Court
March 9, 2026A day of community, compassion, and family fun is planned for Saturday, May 2, as Kickstands for Kids (KFK) teams up with the Gray Court Area Fire Department and the Laurens County Sheriff’s Office to host a Family Fun Day Toy Drive.
The event will take place from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at the Gray Court Area Fire Department and will benefit the Laurens County Sheriff’s Office annual “Country Christmas” program, which provides toys for children and families across Laurens County during the holiday season.
Organizers say the goal of the day is simple: bring the community together while helping ensure local children have something special to open at Christmas.
As part of the event, participants are encouraged to donate a new toy to support the program. Donations will help the Sheriff’s Office continue its long-standing tradition of serving families in need during the holiday season.
The day will feature a variety of activities for all ages. Families can enjoy food, music, vendors, raffles, and activities for children including a bouncy house and inflatable slide. Hot dogs will be available for purchase, and organizers say there may be additional surprises throughout the day.
A group motorcycle ride will also be part of the event. Riders will gather at the fire department beginning at 9:00 a.m., with kickstands up (KSU) scheduled for 9:30 a.m. The ride will travel through Laurens County before returning for the day’s festivities. Participants are asked to bring a new toy donation to take part in the ride, though all riders are welcome to join.
Community members interested in participating as vendors are also invited to get involved. Vendor spaces are available for non-food vendors, and anyone interested should contact a member of the Kickstands for Kids organization or the Gray Court Area Fire Department for more information.
Organizers say events like this highlight the strength of Laurens County’s community spirit.
“Family Fun Day is about bringing people together to enjoy the day while also giving back,” organizers shared. “Every toy donated helps make Christmas brighter for a child in Laurens County.”
Residents across the county are encouraged to attend, bring the family, and support a cause that will make a meaningful difference for local children.
