Knights of Columbus Awards Grants to Local Organizations

The Knights of Columbus of Holy Spirit Catholic Church recently awarded grants to three organizations making a difference in Laurens County. Among the recipients was the Laurens County Cancer Association (LCCA), which received a $1,000 grant to support cancer patients across the community.

Other honorees included Tara Glenn, Associate Director of the Laurens County Disabilities and Special Needs Board, and Shelby Thomas of the Laurens County Special Olympics (Area 5) both receiving $500 each. Each of these leaders and organizations plays a vital role in providing services, encouragement, and opportunities for local residents.

Anna Miller, Executive Director of the Laurens County Cancer Association, expressed her gratitude for the Knights’ support. “We are so thankful for the Knights of Columbus and their commitment to helping local organizations,” Miller said. “This grant will make a real difference in the lives of cancer patients right here in Laurens County. It’s because of partnerships like this that we are able to continue fueling hope and providing essential assistance to those who need it most.”
