Lambert Architecture + Construction Services announces the opening of the newly renovated Elmwood/ Roy Lynch Park

Lambert Architecture + Construction Services announced that the renovation of the Elmwood/ Roy Lynch Park is now complete and open to the public. A ribbon cutting ceremony was held this past weekend accompanied by many families who were eagerly awaiting their chance to explore the new facilities that the park now features.
The ribbon cutting ceremony was full of delightful surprises including a speech by Mayor Steve Benjamin and a vibrant steel drum band performance by Logan Elementary students. The event supplied child-friendly snacks like snow cones and popcorn as well as light refreshments for the adults. The Junior League of Columbia, the City of Columbia, Logan Elementary, and Elmwood Neighborhood Association were all in attendance on Saturday to celebrate this highly anticipated grand opening as a result of their partnership and dedication.
Lambert Architecture + Construction Services enjoyed collaborating with the Junior League of Columbia, the City of Columbia, and the Elmwood Neighborhood Association on the design and execution of this new and exciting project for the city. The plans included a 60-foot zip line, a nature-themed play area, new swing set, a board game plaza, a picnic shelter and butterfly garden, walking paths, and a play set with educational and music features. In addition, the 500-square-foot splash pad was designed with touch-activated sensors to conserve water and double as a game surface because of its checkerboard base when it is dry. The park also features fixed tables and benches in the shade, a green space to lounge or run, and an ADA compliant concrete walking path. Scott Lambert, AIA, Rich Spicer, and Steve Costell, Assoc. AIA of Lambert Architecture are all very excited to see their hard work come to life and to have the community around the Elmwood/ Roy Lynch Park enjoy all of the new improvements.
