Lander University Holds Tree Lighting Event

Lander University and the local Greenwood community kicked off the holiday season with the lighting of the Holiday Tree on the plaza on the evening of Tuesday, November 16. Students, faculty and staff, and local families enjoyed a variety of holiday-themed activities, including a movie on the front lawn, performances by The SassyCats, Leputation and The Lander Players, karaoke and a Ferris wheel by the fountain.
Around 6:00 p.m. guests gathered around the tree where Lander President Dr. Richard Cosentino, Student Government Association President Courtney Clavel, of Bluffton, and Miss Lander Anna Joy Hulsey, of Gaffney, flipped the switch to light up the tree.
