Lander University’s Mary Ashlynne Lawson to perform final senior recital about songs of life

GREENWOOD, SC – Lander University invites the public to attend a student recital Thursday, Oct. 9, by Mary Ashlynne Lawson, a senior music education major. The program is free and open to the public and will begin at 7 p.m. at the Abney Cultural Center Auditorium.

Mary Ashlynne Lawson, a senior music education major, will perform Thursday, Oct. 9, to share her deep love for music and song through her senior performance. Her recital’s theme can be summarized as songs of life, reminding her audience that we are all human through struggle and victory.

Lawson says she is thankful to be able to share the gift of song with everyone as well as the opportunity to pursue her love for music for the rest of her life. After graduation, she hopes to become an elementary school music teacher.
