Langley Law Firm announces Trey Still as new partner; firm renamed Langley Still & Foss

March 2, 2026

Langley Law Firm announced that experienced trial attorney Trey Still has joined the firm as a named partner. With his addition, the firm will now operate as Langley Still & Foss, reflecting its continued growth and expanded leadership.

Still brings nearly two decades of litigation experience to the firm. He previously served as Managing Partner of the Greenville office of Clawson & Staubes, where his practice focused on litigation of personal injury cases.  He has tried nearly 40 cases to verdict in state and federal courts across South Carolina including injuries caused by cars, commercial trucks, and 18 wheelers; slip and falls, product defects, construction defects, and police and jail misconduct. Trey also has experience arguing before the South Carolina Court of Appeals and is a certified mediator.

Still was also recently inducted into the South Carolina Chapter of the American Board of Trial Advocates (ABOTA), an invitation-only national organization of experienced trial lawyers and judges dedicated to preserving the right to trial by jury and promoting civility and professionalism in the courtroom.

Founding partner Ryan Langley said the addition represents an important step in the firm’s continued development.

“Trey has a well-earned excellent reputation as a skilled and prepared litigator who operates with class and civility,” said Langley. “His experience handling complex matters and trying cases throughout South Carolina adds meaningful depth to our team. We are pleased to welcome him as a partner as we continue strengthening our ability to serve clients across the state.”

Partner Matt Foss emphasized the strategic value Still brings to the firm.

“Trey’s background and trial experience will enhance the strength of our already-seasonedlitigation team,” said Foss. “His perspective and courtroom experience will give our clients even more depth as we continue to grow and expand our capabilities.”

A native of Upstate South Carolina and a graduate of Byrnes High School, Still earned his Bachelor of Science degree from Limestone University, graduating cum laude and receiving the university’s Annual Excellence in Business and Economics Award. While at Limestone, he played four years of varsity baseball and later was elected to the Limestone University Board of Trustees in 2022.

He earned his law degree from Florida Coastal School of Law and is admitted to practice in South Carolina, the United States District Court for the District of South Carolina, and the United States Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit. Still has been recognized as Legal Elite (2018–2025) and was first named to Best Lawyers in 2021. In 2024, he was recognized by Best Lawyers as the “Lawyer of the Year” in Insurance Litigation for the Upstate region.

Still said he looks forward to this next chapter.

“I am grateful for the opportunity to be a part of Langley Still & Foss and to work alongside a team committed to diligent preparation and client service,” said Still. “I look forward to returning to my hometown and continuing my litigation practice and contributing to the firm’s ongoing growth.”
