Laurens Academy’s Caleb Hardy Named Laurens County Touchdown Club Player of the Week

October 27, 2025

The Laurens County Touchdown Club is proud to announce that for games played on Friday, October 24th, the Player of the Week is Laurens Academy H-back and linebacker Caleb Hardy.

Hardy, a junior standout for the Laurens Academy Crusaders, led his team to an eye-popping 78–64 win over Richard Winn Academy in Winnsboro, SC, on Friday night. His performance was nothing short of remarkable, putting up numbers that seemed straight out of a video game. Hardy carried the ball 24 times for 368 yards and four touchdowns, caught eight passes for 152 yards and three touchdowns, and added three two-point conversions. On defense, he tallied 17 total tackles, including 5.5 tackles for loss, along with one quarterback pressure, one forced fumble, and one fumble recovery.

Head Coach Jolly Doolittle praised Hardy’s character and work ethic, stating, “Caleb has a desire to do everything on and off the football field well. He is a relentless worker and competitor. He is a great player but an even better young man who leads, serves, and performs to the best of his ability.”

The Laurens County Touchdown Club will honor Hardy on Wednesday, October 30th, at its bi-monthly meeting at The Ridge in Laurens. The meeting begins at noon, with food service by Groucho’s Deli starting at 11:45 a.m. The Farm Bureau Insurance of Laurens County sponsors the Player of the Week awards for the 2025 season.
