Laurens City Fire Department Earns Fire Safe Community Designation at State Conference

Laurens City Fire Department was well represented at the recent South Carolina Firefighter Conference.
The department was represented at the conference by Chief Neil Roberts, Lieutenant Eric Morse, Engineer Sean Albright, and Firefighter Taivon Boyd. The conference included elements of training, networking, and fellowship with firefighters from across the state.
The State Fire Marshal’s Office and Fire Safe South Carolina recognized 133 fire departments for becoming fire safe communities. Laurens City Fire Department was among the departments recognized. Firefighter Taivon Boyd and Engineer Sean Albright accepted the Fire Safe Designation for the department.
This award highlights fire education and program implementation to improve fire and life safety in each recognized community.
