Laurens County 8U All-Stars Set for a Big Week With Presbyterian College and State Title Prep
November 19, 2025The Laurens County 8U All Star football team is gearing up for an unforgettable week as they prepare for their state title run. Comprised of talented young players from both Laurens and Clinton—each selected by their coaches for their skill, effort, and dedication—the team is heading into a week filled with inspiration, preparation, and community pride.
This Thursday, the All Stars will travel to Presbyterian College for a special visit with the Blue Hose Football team. The players and coaches will be welcomed by PC athletes and staff before taking a brief tour of the football facilities. After introductions and a behind-the-scenes look at the program, the young athletes will step onto Bailey Memorial Stadium for a condensed practice session. Sponsored by ProCore Pest Control, this unique experience offers the team a chance to sharpen their skills while learning from collegiate players as they continue toward their championship goal.
Coach Jimmy Poole said the visit is an incredible moment for the team, both on and off the field. “Seeing our boys walk into a college stadium and interact with players they look up to is something special. It motivates them, but it also shows them what hard work and commitment can lead to. This week is going to be one they remember for the rest of their lives.”
Laurens County 8U is set to take on Seneca Saturday morning at 11 AM at Laurens District 55 High School in what promises to be an exciting matchup. After the game, the team will return to Bailey Memorial Stadium—this time to cheer on the Blue Hose as they close out their season against Marist at 1 PM. The game carries major stakes for Presbyterian College, with the Blue Hose pursuing a championship and the chance to become just the second team in 112 years to reach 10 wins in a season.
It’s a week full of big moments for the Laurens County 8U All Stars—one that celebrates hard work, teamwork, and the special bond between local athletes and their hometown college football program.
