Laurens County Chamber of Commerce Touchdown Club Announces All-County Team 2024

The Laurens County Chamber of Commerce Touchdown Club is excited to announce the All-County Team for 2024. These outstanding athletes will be recognized for their achievements at the TD Club Awards Banquet, scheduled for Wednesday, January 8, 2025, at 6:00 p.m. at The Ridge.

This celebratory event will feature the announcement of the TD Club Player of the Year and Coach of the Year awards. Additionally, the Lakelands FCA Character Award winners from each high school and Presbyterian College will be recognized for their exemplary character and leadership. Among the high school coaches in contention for Coach of the Year are Coach Jolly Doolittle, Coach Corey Fountain, and Coach Greg Porter.

Adding to the evening’s prestige, former Clemson football star and the 2023 SC Football Hall of Fame ‘Humanitarian of the Year,’ Brian Mance, will serve as the guest speaker. Mance’s inspiring journey as a player, coach, and philanthropist promises to make this a memorable event for all attendees.

About Brian Mance

Brian Mance, a native of Alcolu, South Carolina, is a celebrated football star who left his mark at Manning High School before advancing to Clemson University. During his collegiate career, Mance achieved All-American and First Team All-ACC honors and ranks among Clemson’s all-time leaders in interceptions and pass breakups.

After playing professionally with the Washington Redskins, NFL Europe, and the Arena Football League, Mance transitioned into coaching and later established the Be Propelled Foundation. The foundation provides essential resources and motivation to students, inspiring them to overcome life’s challenges. His resilience in battling neurosarcoidosis has made him a beacon of hope and determination for many.
