Laurens County Chamber to Host Business Forum on February 17 at new County Ag Center

January 17, 2026

The Laurens County Chamber of Commerce will host a Laurens County Business Forum on February 17, bringing together business owners and local experts for a moderated, solutions-focused discussion on key issues impacting the county’s business community.

The forum is designed to provide a platform for listening, education, and clarity, addressing topics such as growth, infrastructure, workforce and education, real estate, and public safety.

“This forum aligns directly with our new strategic plan,” said Dabs Davis, President of the Laurens County Chamber of Commerce. “Our goal is to advocate for small businesses, provide clarity where answers already exist, and strengthen collaboration between businesses and local experts as Laurens County continues to grow.”

The event will feature a panel of local professionals representing various public and private sectors throughout Laurens County that serve our community. To ensure a productive conversation, attendees will submit questions in advance during registration, allowing the discussion to focus on shared challenges and practical solutions.

This initial forum will be open exclusively to Laurens County business owners and representatives, with plans for a broader community forum in the future. “It is important to bring our community together and see what our existing businesses are doing” says Emily Abercrombie, owner of Southern Twist and Trade in Laurens. Susan Tallman and Heather Tiller, owners of Musgrove Market agree and say that “In Clinton and Laurens, we live, work, and love side by side. Small-town businesses are the heart of it all, and maintaining relationships and supporting one another is more than a value—it’s a way of life.
