Laurens County Chorale Announces Start of 2026 Spring Season Rehearsals

The Laurens County Chorale will begin rehearsals for its 2026 spring season on Monday, January 12, at 7:00 p.m.Rehearsals will be held at Westminster Presbyterian Church, located at 1387 Highway 56 in Clinton.

The chorale welcomes new and returning singers alike. No audition is required—only a love for singing choral music and a willingness to learn, making participation accessible to anyone in the community with an interest in music.

“This concert is about more than music—it’s about telling part of our nation’s story through song,” said Kipper Ackerman, artistic director of the Laurens County Chorale. “As we prepare to mark the 250th anniversary of the singing of the Declaration of Independence, we want this to be a meaningful and enjoyable experience, and we welcome singers of all backgrounds to join us.”

The spring concert, scheduled for the end of April, will commemorate the United States’ semiquincentennial by celebrating the 250th anniversary of the singing of the Declaration of Independence on July 4, 1776. The performance will highlight themes of history, unity, and national heritage, offering singers a unique opportunity to be part of a milestone event.
