July 15, 2021

BREAKING NEWS!

Two members of the Laurens County Delegation (Gilliam and Jones) attended a meeting on Tuesday night organized by local residents and members of Keep Laurens County Clean. At that meeting hundreds of concerned members of the community, families, government officials, and business leaders in Laurens County came together to ask questions and voice their concern regarding H20 Blue, LLC Hauled Wastewater Receiving and Evaporation Facility proposed for 13233 Highway 56 North near Clinton, South Carolina.

As a result of the meeting and the concerns expressed by constituents, the entire Delegation (Sen. Verdin, Rep. Willis, Rep. Gilliam and Rep. Jones) has sent a letter to Mr. Randy Thompson at DHEC requesting that they hold a public meeting to address concerns.

From the letter:

“As you know, Laurens County is blessed with great resources, rivers, streams, wildlife, and nature which is rare in this day and age. We all want to protect these resources and our quality of life. Therefore, we request that DHEC and H20 Blue, LLC hold a public meeting in Laurens County to address these concerns and questions.”
