Laurens County Development Corporation – Cleaning Up Laurens County One Bag at a Time

March 11, 2021

There has been a huge increase in litter scattered across the state in recent weeks and months. But why is that?

It’s reportedly due to an increase in the amount of people ordering take-out (and tossing the bags/boxes out of their windows), as well as Department of Corrections clean-up crew efforts limited by Covid-19 precautions. With the weather warming up, and the trash piling up, Laurens County Development Corporation staff decided to get out there and make a small dent in the large task that is cleaning up our roads.

In just under two and a half hours, their three staff members were able to gather up 15 bags of trash over a short, .2 mile area.

We love our county and we want others to love it, too! #DoBetter #LitterTrashesEveryone#LoveLaurensCounty
