Laurens County Emergency Services to Host Full-Scale Disaster Response Exercise on April 16th

Laurens County Emergency Services, in collaboration with multiple agencies across the Upstate, will conduct a full-scale mass casualty exercise on April 16th, 2025, from 0700-1800 at The Sawmill Training Complex and The Gulches ORV Park.

This exercise is designed to enhance preparedness and response capabilities in the event of a large-scale emergency. It will simulate a natural weather disaster, providing first responders and support agencies with an opportunity to practice coordination, communication, and critical decision-making under realistic conditions.

The exercise is a vital step in ensuring community readiness for emergencies. Residents and visitors near The Sawmill Training Complex and The Gulches ORV Park may notice increased emergency vehicle activity during the exercise.
