Laurens County GOP to Host Third Annual Freedom BBQ Featuring Attorney General Alan Wilson

The Laurens County Republican Party will host its third annual Freedom BBQ on Monday, August 25, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Laurens County Museum, located at 116 South Public Square in Laurens.
This highly anticipated event brings together local conservatives for an evening of food, fellowship, and shared values. Guests will enjoy a traditional Southern barbecue meal and have the opportunity to hear from special guest speaker South Carolina Attorney General Alan Wilson, who recently announced his candidacy for Governor in the 2026 election.
“We’re thrilled to welcome Attorney General Wilson to Laurens County,” said Valerie Stewart Jones, Chair of the Laurens County Republican Party. “This event is about bringing people together to celebrate the freedoms we hold dear and to discuss the future of our state and our country. We hope everyone who supports conservative principles will join us.”
Wilson, who has served as South Carolina’s Attorney General since 2011, is expected to share insights on current challenges facing the state and his vision for leadership.
Capacity for the event is limited to 200 guests, and attendees are encouraged to purchase tickets in advance to secure their spot.
