Laurens County Memorial Day Cruise-In Honors Fallen Heroes
May 22, 2024On May 27, 2024, the Laurens County Hall of Heroes will host a special Memorial Day Cruise-In at the Laurens County Veterans Affairs Office located at 105 Bolt Drive in Laurens. The event, which begins at 9:30 AM, promises a day of remembrance, community engagement, and tribute to the brave men and women who have sacrificed their lives in defense of the United States.
Car enthusiasts and patriots alike are invited to join the Cruise-In, which will feature a display of vehicles competing for the top three trophies and various prizes. This gathering provides an opportunity for the community to come together, enjoy a showcase of unique cars, and honor the fallen heroes.
Following the Cruise-In, a solemn Memorial Wreath Ceremony will take place at 11:45 AM. The ceremony serves as a poignant reminder of the ultimate sacrifice made by American service members and serves as a time for reflection and gratitude.
Morris Madden, a dedicated board member of the Laurens County Hall of Heroes, emphasizes the importance of this event. “Memorial Day is a time to remember and honor the brave souls who gave everything for our freedom. The Cruise-In and Wreath Ceremony are small ways we can show our appreciation and ensure their legacy lives on,” Madden stated.
The event is co-sponsored by the Laurens County Hall of Heroes and the Laurens County Veterans Affairs Office, an organization committed to preserving the memory of local veterans and providing support to their families.
