March 25, 2025

The Laurens County Museum has launched a new YouTube channel, offering a valuable online resource for anyone interested in the rich history of Laurens County. The channel features a growing library of lectures, presentations, and event recordings, allowing viewers to engage with local heritage from anywhere, at any time.

The museum’s digital platform includes educational videos on a wide range of topics, from historical figures and landmarks to cultural events and preservation efforts. Recent uploads include a lecture by Doris Taylor of the Rosemont Preservation Society, highlighting the legacy of Ann Pamela Cunningham, known for her pioneering work in historic preservation at Mount Vernon.

Museum Board Chair Teresa Noble shared her excitement about this new way to reach the community: “We’re thrilled to launch the Laurens County Museum’s YouTube channel to make our programs, lectures, and special events available to those who may not be able to attend in person. It’s a wonderful way to expand access and continue our mission of preserving and sharing Laurens County’s rich history with as many people as possible.”

The YouTube channel complements the museum’s ongoing efforts to serve as a hub for education and cultural preservation in the county. Whether you’re a longtime resident, a student, or simply curious about local history, the Laurens County Museum’s online offerings provide a convenient and engaging way to connect with the past.
